American Pancakes
American style, fluffy pancakes easy to make and great for breakfast.
Ingredients
- 2 Egg
- 250 g Plain flour
- 250 ml Milk
- 2 tbsp Caster Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Table Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 30 g Melted Butter
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl or jug, whisk the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until well combined.
- Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients while whisking. Mix until just combined, don’t over mix, as that can make the pancakes dense.
- Place a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter.
- Pour a ladleful of batter into the pan. Cook for about 2 minutes until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set. Flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
